Some flange types, such as those constructed of carbon steel, are prone to corrosion or what is more often known as rust. Due to its extreme rust resistance, the stainless steel flange can outlive a carbon steel flange indefinitely. Although there are other metal flanges, stainless steel flanges are often the most widely used. Depending on its intended usage, flange sizes and the kinds of metal utilised in their fabrication change. Stainless steel flanges are typically chosen for their necessary and valuable qualities and the ease with which they can be integrated into any flange system.

Super duplex flanges manufacturer offers high-quality solutions in steel flanges, carbon steel flanges and many other materials. You know the market's demands, so they serve each of their client's needs with maximum efficiency.

Types of flanges

Duplex flanges manufacturer have a wide variety of pipe flanges according to the need and type of application you require. Please find out about our different options, their use and the specifications of each one of them.

Brida W.N. (Welding Neck)

ASTM A182 F11 or weld neck flanges have high strength and sealing. They are especially used in high-pressure pipeline applications. Its tapered neck feature allows it to be welded to the end of a tube.  They are used in steam lines, refined hydrocarbons, and petrochemical facilities. They are ideal for extreme conditions and in environments with minimal leaks, made of carbon steel, stainless steel, alloy steel, etc.

Brida SO (Slip-On)

Slip-on flanges, sliding flanges, or neckless flanges have the special characteristic of sliding inside the tube to weld. Its applications are generally specific to low pressure. The main advantages of this type of flange are:

  • It's low cost.
  • Ease of assembly and installation.
  • The wide variety of ranges in which they are available.

They are generally used for low-pressure fluids, compressed air, and process lines such as oil.

Blind flange

Blind flanges have the particularity of being closed in the centre. In addition to the normal holes around for bolting, that feature gives you the function of preventing flow in a pipe. Its appearance allows it to close and seal the ends of a tube in high-pressure applications since it can withstand much more severe conditions, providing safety in processes in the petrochemical industry, wastewater treatment, food, and more.

Brida LJ (Lap Joint)

Lap joint flanges, also known as loose flanges, differ from the rest of the welded flanges since it rotates freely when welded to the pipe and thus avoid contact with the fluids.  This flange type is used in storm drainage and distribution systems for crude oil, natural gas, drinking water and sewerage. They are usually placed on steel pipes that undergo frequent disassembly.

Brida SW

Welding seat flanges are also usually known as Socket Welding. They do not have a conical neck like the WN, but rather, the pipe enters the flange until it rests on a seat, forming a smooth conduit without cavities. ASTM A182 F22 requires little longitudinal space in the line to be assembled, and since the weld is fillet welded, it does not require pipe preparation, which reduces assembly times.
